 Now they are really comfy but at first they were really stiff. No Probs when ridding just when I would push back up the trails. I rode in general sports socks at first as well but now I use proper mtb ones and it makes a massive difference. I can recommend fox's new ones, £7 a pair and can't fault them.
I have never worn 5:10's so can't compare them. I sent back my first pair and got a size bigger,
